ARC Wolf from the Past (Salvation Pack) by N.J. Walters

Playing dead is easy. Living is hard.

Sylvie LaForge Dubois knew coming back from the dead wouldn’t be easy, but facing her brother and his friends is harder than she imagined. The way Gator Rollins watches her every move makes her decidedly uneasy and excited.

After surviving a forced mating to the abusive Andre Dubois, having a rugged, dangerous werewolf like Gator sniffing around her is scary and thrilling at the same time. She never imagined she’d want another man, but her bone-deep attraction to Gator is too strong to fight.

Gator never got a chance to tell Sylvie he loved her before she was mated with another and, well, died. Now that she’s back, there’s nothing he won’t do to protect her.

Once word gets out, Sylvie’s former pack will be coming for her. No one leaves the Louisiana pack, especially not a female werewolf. But Gator’s determined that this time he won’t let anyone or anything get between him and Sylvie, even if she can’t decide if his touch makes her want to jump his bones…or run for the hills.

Warning: If you believe in second chances, this story will rock your soul, make you swoon, and bring tears to your eyes. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review of Wolf from the past, the latest book in the Salvation pack series.

What can I say about this book except that N.J. Walters has done it again! Gator and Sylvie's  story is stunning. It's a beautiful story that had me hooked from beginning to end. Walters has a fantastic way of making each character individual and you never feel like she is repeating the same thing in her books. Sylvie is such a damaged character at the beginning of this story and Gator's strength and patience had me falling in love with both of them.  Gator is such an Alpha Male that there were plenty of moments in this book i had to stop and reach for a glass of water and a fan.

"Come back." he whispered against her ear. She shivers as his hot breath skimmer over the outer shell. "Wherever you've gone, come back to me."

There has been a running storyline throughout all of this series involving the danger of the boys old pack and that progresses wonderfully throughout.  There is lots of drama, action and plenty of hilarious moments that kept the book moving at a fast pace and i didn't want this book to end at all! It looks like there is going to be some major explosions happening in Wolf on the Hunt and i'm so excited to see what happens to these amazing characters next.

This book definitely deserves 5 stars as I couldn't put it down from the second i received it.

Belle Aurora!!

Possibly the best news ever!! for all of you that have read RAW and are waiting for more twitch have a look at what Author Belle Aurora posted!
 Author Belle Aurora
Have you read RAW?
Then here's a little something for you...
*******

AJ was a smart boy. He was only five years old but knew the value of a secret.
He didn't like keeping secrets from his mom and when he asked her if it was okay to lie, she told him that it was never okay to be dishonest.
It didn't make sense.
AJ had heard his mother lie before.
Why was she able to lie when he wasn't?
His mother explained that sometimes people told lies to stop another person from being hurt, that these were called 'little white lies'.
AJ thought about this.
His secret would hurt his mom, he'd been told, so it wasn't really a lie, he thought. Keeping his secret was more a 'little white lie'.
As his mother tucked him in to bed, he smiled up at her. "I love you," he told her, and he meant it.
His mother's smile softened. "I love you more, honey," she responded quietly as she ran gentle fingers through his messy hair.
She blew him a kiss as she left his room, turning off the light and closing the door behind her.
AJ lay in his bed, awake and waiting.
He wasn't sure how long he waited but when he heard the window rattle then lift in excruciating slowness, he smiled excitedly.
His little white lie was here.

Daddy was home.

Kane by L.A Casey

Aideen Collins is a free spirit. She is outspoken and tough as nails, but she has to be after growing up in a house full of men. Family means everything to Aideen. Her family consists of her four brothers, her father, and her group of wild friends. Aideen is protective of her family, there is not a lot she wouldn’t do to keep them safe.

Kane Slater is a tortured soul. Literally. He is misunderstood by people, even feared by them thanks to the scars that mar his face and body. He relishes in their fear because people who fear you, won’t want to know you. He likes his circle limited to his brothers and their girlfriends, but a thorn from an Irish rose is dug deep into Kane’s side, and her name is Aideen Collins.

Aideen and Kane don’t get along… at all. Aideen is the only woman who stands up to Kane and throws his bullshit back at him without fear of hurting him. Kane is the only man who can see right through Aideen's tough exterior. He knows her deepest, and darkest secrets. They can’t stand each other, but they want each other. Badly. They hide their need behind arguments, and banter, but when Kane drops his guard for all to see, and succumbs to an illness within his body, it’s Aideen who steps up to the plate to take care of him.

An illness is the least of their worries when a devil from Kane’s past comes back to play with him. Everybody in Kane’s life is threatened, and with his body fighting against him, he doesn’t know if the luck of the Irish is enough to keep his family safe and his demons at bay.

Kane needs Aideen, and what Kane needs, Kane takes.

L.A. Casey strikes again with the magnificent Kane! I can't begin to tell you how amazing this book is! Casey always manages to find a perfect balance between romance/comedy and bad ass in her books and Kane is no exception her books just keep getting better.

Kane is such a sweetheart and everything he has been through completely broke my heart. However, his relationship with Aideen was utterly breathtaking and everything about them as a couple was perfection.

Casey's writing style it spectacular and she has completely outdone herself one again as she brings this soul destroying story to life.
Aideen is a wonderful heroine and her strength and humour is absolutely amazing. She has one of the more difficult storylines in the Slater Brothers series because in this book her life will seriously change and she handles all the changes magnificently and with a charming grace that had me falling in love with her and how she interacts with my favourite Slater.

I can't recommend this book enough it is one of my favourite books of the year and I can not wait for the next instalment.

OMG!!!

Possibly the Best reading nook in the world!! <3

Taking The Fall (Volume 1) by Alexa Riley

What a great start!

Volume one is the first five chapters of Taking The Fall by Alexa Riley. This story is about Layla a sweet and innocent young girl who has been through some unknown tragic circumstance she cannot remember.  Four years earlier Layla ran away from her father after her mother went missing and her bodyguard Carter was thrown in jail.

Layla has been in love with Carter for years and the reader soon learns that Carter's feelings are mutual. The day he gets out of prison he goes straight to Layla whom he has secretly kept tabs on over the years.

Even though this book is about the love story between Layla and Carter we are also left in suspense over the mystery of what happened the night Layla's mother disappeared and Carter went to jail.

I am a huge fan of Alexa Riley and her writing style even though her stories are a little too controversial for some readers. I feel she definitely has what it takes to become a truly successful author as her books appear to get better and better. I cannot wait for the next volume in taking the fall to see what happens next to these amazing characters.
