Fearless by April Wilson

Beth Jamison had a rough start in life. She survived a childhood abduction, but her traumatic past still haunts her, and she suffers from anxiety and issues with intimacy. Beth doesn't know it, but the man who kidnapped her has just been released early from prison. When Beth’s brother hires McIntyre Security, Inc. to protect Beth and conduct surveillance on her kidnapper, Beth has no idea she has secret bodyguards keeping her safe 24/7. With his money and good looks, CEO Shane McIntyre has never been short on feminine company, and he’s developed a reputation as a “love ‘em and leave ‘em” kind of guy. But that changes when Shane meets Beth. Their mutual attraction is instant and intense, and Shane falls hard for Beth. Shane has his work cut out for him if he’s going to gain her trust and get past her fears. This alpha protector is determined to keep Beth safe, but he’s also determined to make her his.

I received an ARC of Fearless by April Wilson in exchange for an honest review.

Fearless is officially my favourite book of the year. I adore April Wilson's writing and this book is the perfect continuation to the McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series.

What I loved most about this book is that Beth and Shane are a real couple who deal with their issues maturely. Even though this book is filled with drama, action and suspense there is also a very satisfying focus on the main characters' relationship. Their love for each other grows and although there are obstacles they deal with them together.

I have to say I fell even more in love for my favourite book boyfriend Shane. He is definitely an Alpha Male but in this book you see him work hard to give Beth everything she wants and needs. This includes giving her room to become independent, and i have to say that is one of the most attractive qualities I have ever had the pleasure to read.

Beth. Sweet, lovely Beth, who has been through her fair share of sorrow really becomes her own person in Fearless. She manages to grow into an even stronger woman than she was before and you cannot help but care for her as a heroine.

Fearless gives you a few hints into what is still to come for the rest of the McIntyre team and I can tell you now I can not wait for what happens next. April Wilson has really perfected this genre of book and I look forward to what brilliance she will bring us next.
