Aftermath by Cara Dee

Austin Huntley and Cameron Nash are like night and day. One is a family man, works in a nice office, drives an expensive car, and is content to be content. The other one is an antisocial car mechanic with a short fuse.

Some things don’t change. Others definitely do.

After surviving a five-months long kidnapping together, they struggle to return to normalcy, all while realizing that they're more drawn to each other than they ever could've imagined.

"I know I'm not normal, but I'm not fucking stupid."

"Define normal," Austin countered quietly, meeting Cam in the doorway. "And for not being normal, you're the only person in the world who makes sense right now. What does that say about me?"

Aftermath is a beautiful book. The horror this group of men went through is heartbreaking, yet the love and the bonds they form because of this is simply breathtaking.I completely fell in love with the characters in this book and i honestly just wanted the book to keep going as Cara Dee had me completely engrossed in the story from beginning to end. This i a perfect M/M romance book and the main characters deal with the Aftermath of what happened to them with such grace and love it was spellbinding to read.

There wasn't a single moment of this book that didn't have me close to tears of both joy and sadness as Cara managed to create something extraordinary. The characters feel so real that you find yourself experiencing all of their turmoil and become completely invested in the outcome of the aftermath.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a stunning romance book regardless of whether or not they enjoy M/M books as this is simply too good not to read.
